With excessive heat and a lack of rain in Wichita Falls, the city is seeing a spike in violations when it comes to water restrictions.

The city believes that’s because people are trying to keep their yards and gardens alive.

“We have a lot of eyes out there and they’re paying attention to those violators,” Utilities Operations Manager, Daniel Nix said about residents reporting those who violate the ordinance.
