The High Heels for Hot Meals event committee hosted their 3rd annual event to benefit The Kitchen and Meals On Wheels.

The event took place at the Stone Palace and was headlined by the First Lady of Texas, Cecilia Abbot, who regularly delivers meals to senior citizens.

Keri Goins, Development Director of The Kitchen, says the community makes up a large portion of the organization.
“We raise approximately 57 percent of our budget each year from the community,” Goins said. “It is vital to our program that we are able to raise enough money to provide programs and Meals on Wheels to the senior citizens in our community.”

The event also included casino tables, a live auction, live music dancing and a shoe garden with decorative high heels on display.
