A project to extend Maplewood Avenue from Lawrence Road to McNiel Avenue is moving forward.

On Tuesday, the city council began that process by giving the property division the green light to move forward with purchasing the land in between the dead ends, to connect it, and have all the right-of-ways.

On May 5, residents passed Proposition C, which includes the Maplewood extension as part of the proposition.
